About Zonta

Zonta International headquarters are located in Illinois, U.S.A. and worldwide there are more than 31,000 members in 66 countries.



The organizaton is non-political and non-sectarian. An International Convention of members takes place every 2 years in various locations, during which a new President and Board with representation from across the world are elected and biennium goals set. The most recent International Convention was held in 2014 in Orlando, Florida. www.zonta.org

 

Each club is part of a District, (Australia has 3 Districts) which are then divided into Areas. The Zonta club of Melbourne’s West is one of 5 clubs in District 23, Area 1. In addition to International Convention, Zonta members come together every 2 years at a District Conference, and annually at an Area meeting. The District 23 Conference for 2015 will be held in Adelaide, South Australia. In Victoria, members from Areas 1, 4 and 5 (Tasmania) hold a joint meeting with keynote speakers and a range of topics.
